SYNOPSIS

Unable to cope with the rising cost of living in the city, José and Joaquim take refuge in a hovel in the countryside. José keeps himself busy tending the vegetable garden, tirelessly fighting pests, while Joaquim watches the symptoms of his illness intensify. Isolated in his room, the boy wanders between reality and hallucinations.
